26 days out…
We’re less than a month out from launching the new system, and we’re starting to count down. Things ramped up today. When I showed up at work this morning, 2 out of 3 of the rows in our new FOH position had been pulled, and the third was just waiting to get carried away. Tomorrow morning Art starts construction of the new booth.
I spent the early part of the afternoon installing plug-ins on the Venue and dealing with the not-so-fun process of activating the plug-in licenses. It’s still easier than wiring a patchbay, though. Bob also came out to tool around the Venue a bit.
Larry came out tonight to start trenching at FOH to lay some new conduit for cables. He and Bob worked for several hours and got most of it done. They need to put down one more layer of concreted and then the carpet can go back down. We had initially encountered some resistance when the idea of trenching the concrete was suggested, but it went very smoothly with a minimal amount of dust getting kicked up.By Sunday, nobody will ever know we did it.
Well, well, well…
Looks like the boys are having too much fun destroying (I mean “reconfiguring”) church property to accomodate the new Venue!
Regardless, well done.
Any idea how much money we’ll be saving the church on the long run by doing some of the work.
