The Last Rehearsal
Thursday was my last day at Christ Community Church. I stayed through the entire rehearsal tonight. The end of the night was a bit surreal even though it was much like any other rehearsal where I was one of the last two people to leave. But it was still strange with this being my last night there how everyone sort of drifted out.
Leaving this particular job has been different from everything in the past because the church has been such a huge part of my life for the last three years. It’s not just leaving a job, it really is leaving a family. Hopefully I’ll have many visitors in Atlanta to look forward to.
Unlike job transitions in the past, I’m taking some time off before starting at North Point. This is the first time I’ve been “out of work” in ten years. Monday will probably feel weird…
Dave: Best wishes to you and your family. We will be praying that you are always in God’s will, and that your mission there and your future will be very clear. I’m sad that you’re leaving, but I believe you and your wife have sincerely sought God’s will. Take care and stay in touch. Sorry I missed your going away party.
