What’s Up…
So if you haven’t noticed, yet, you probably will notice soon that my posting regularity is getting a little thin. I wish I could say it’s because I’m slammed with something like Easter prep, but that’s not the case. In fact, one of the things that I love about where I work is we don’t go crazy with our Easter service; we’ll be doing some cool stuff, but it won’t be a big departure from a regular Sunday–I think there’s a little more music and maybe some video stuff. So beyond adding a Friday night service, our production load is pretty normal this week.
Of course, we do have our Drive Conference coming up in just over a month, but pre-production on my end hasn’t started, yet, so that’s not taking up my time, either–although it will very soon.
The reality is my mind has just been elsewhere because my wife and I are due to expand our family at some point in the next couple weeks. There’ll be more posts coming, but they’ll probably just be slow for a bit.
In the meantime, you can always follow me on Twitter; it might get a bit random at times, but it’s what I’m doing most of the time. If you’re unfamiliar with Twitter, here’s a quick intro.
Have a great Easter if I don’t post between now and then!
Dave – congrats on the upcoming addition to your family, wish you and your family the best.
I also wanted to comment on how refreshing it is to me that Northpoint et al isn’t doing a big dog and pony show for easter. It’s all too common for churches to “go all out” a few times of the year during high traffic times (easter, christmas, etc) but then go back to business as usual for the remainder of the year, creating a real potential for let-down, and false expectations. Great job, keep it up.
Hey Dave, I recently found your blog via DUC off the Venue forum. Follow a lot of the North Point stuff as our church leadership uses various material. I look forward to more posts about your Venue experiences.
